The best.

I love my new Hipshot tuners, they are super smooth and the ultra light weight helped eliminate the slight neck dive I had with my Mustang.

Night and day is the difference between what I had and these ultra-lights that I easily installed in minutes! Granted I have a pretty cheap little short scale bass but I loved how it felt in my hands so I decided to upgrade everything. The impact that these tuners made in "performance mode" was immediate and dramatic. Free from frustration, my playing experience was greatly enhanced. I have to chuckle a bit everytime my bandmates stop to tune while I wait patiently (and a bit smugly)
Thanks Hipshot whoever you are!

Great replacement on ‘03 Warwick Thumb 5. Easy install, better tuner than original.

Work great!

These are just as good as the more expensive hipshot tuners! Buy them with confidence! Super smooth function and light weight! One of the best upgrades for any bass guitar!

Great tuners - functionality and tuning stability are as good or better than the original tuners that were on the bass, and the weight reduction at the headstock makes the bass balance perfectly!

Very nice fit and finish. No trouble with installation. Lollipops look great on my Fender Mustang.

Installed in my 2008 Warwick Thumb bass. Excellent fit and quality. Plan on ordering some more for my 1993 Warwick Corvette rebuild.

I’m on my 2nd set of Hipshot LIC Ultralite tuners, and on my 2nd Warmoth roasted maple neck!
These tuners are absolutely impeccable. So smooth, so accurate! Both basses that I posted (the other with black hardware) have all Hipshot hardware anyway, bridges and string trees.
Best stuff you can get!

Drop in replacements for a Washburn T-24. Fantastic upgrade from the stock tuners. Super easy installation. Worth every penny!

I purchased a Warmoth Standard 5 fretless Jazz bass neck for one of my Jazz V bodies. The Warmoth Standard 5 neck uses an in-line 5 configuration and these Hipshot LIC HB6 tuning machines fit the bill. The LIC tuners are nothing to balk at, very firm construction and stay in tune like a charm. Sure, they’re not reversible, but who cares? Once they are in place, there is no need to reverse anything.

I have licensed HB6Ys on three of my Lakland Skylines, and I have the US versions on several other basses. Honestly, it's hard to tell the difference. Other than the fact you can't change the orientation on the licensed ones, they set and hold tune just as well as the US ones.

Used these to replace the closed back tuners that came stock on an Ibanez BTB 5 string. The HB6s fit perfectly and are much more stable.

I recently had a tuning head on my SDGR die. Second one on this bass. Second SDGR I know it's happened to. Third Ibanez I know it's happened to. That's four machine heads on Ibby bases that I know of.
Instead of replacing it with another similar part, held in by hopes and dreams, I bought one of these. It fit perfectly and went in like a dream. The post is thicker and the gear is bigger than the other tuners on there. It's a solid part and it looks amazing.
I'll be getting 4 more to replace the other 4 tuners... and it'll cost me as much as replacing it with the original, inferior parts.
Bravo, Hipshot

I've been using Hipshot products on my basses for many years with excellent results. I have now started using the "LIC" version of the Ultralite bass tuners as well as the original Hipshot USA ultralites. I find the products are made too exacting standards with very high attention to detail and finish. They work extremely well and give years of service. I say "buy with confidence" you will not be disappointed.
