Great product! The system works really well, and the knob lets you fine-tune the drop tuning. I use it on a MATON in OPEN G tuning to activate the Hipshot for a low C! Just a quick note: the mechanism is a bit short compared to others, and there’s not much room when changing strings—it works, but it’s a tight fit.

I've installed a Hipshot Xtender on previous instruments with no issues. In this instance upon installation and tuning, the tuning machine seemed to seperate slightly from the baseplate and the tuning gears either stripped or seperated from each other. Will be sending it back, hopefully, for a replacement or refund.
This thing is awesome. It allows me to play songs in different tunings at the turn of a lever. A little finnicky to tune, but well worth it.

I got one many years ago when I saw a picture of Richard Thompson's Lowden with one & thought "genius!" Haven't been disappointed, works like a charm, easy to install (and I'm not mechanically inclined).
I play live and use concert and drop D tunings throughout the show. This little wonder was easy to install and saves me a lot of time between songs. Once you tune both concert and then dropped, it is very accurate. Putting them on all my guitars.
just installed one on my epi g400 sg nice!! dont worry if the post is not tall enough wrap the string going up the post it works and holds tuning fine no problems Eflat to Dflat in a blink or an eye! I call the gt1 my seceret wepon !! love it still made in the usa !!
I just got this in the mail for a christmas present that i wanted ! sweet i installed it in no time and adjusted the tuning a few times( messin with it to get used to setting the drop adj.) it works well and does what it says MADE IN USA ! great product !
