I purchased the 3-string bass retainer to replace the "closed style" retainer on my Fender Roscoe Beck 5 string bass. The Hipshot retainer was a perfect fit! Thank you!
What a godsend this little piece of hardware is! No matter how hard I tried, I could never seem to acquire the necessary tension on my bass guitar strings with the stock Fender string retainer. The difference between the two is like night and day! It's lightweight, yet strong and as tough as nails. I wholeheartedly recommend this item to fellow players...it seemed (to myself at least) a natural, especially because I was replacing my stock tuners. Another awesome product!

Recently purchased a chrome 3-string retainer for a bass that had a closed system that had to be strung through. What a pain to either remove strings by pulling them back through the retainer or remove the whole thing everytime I had to do some work on my bass. No More!
