I've been a Hipshot user and fan since meeting Dave Borisoff (The inventor and genius behind the Hipshot B Bender) at the La Guitar Show in 1985. My original plan was to use the Hipshot unit to confirm I could incorporate a B Bender into my guitar playing, then follow up with a Parson-Greene-type unit. But I found the approach of engaging the Hipshot was much more natural and didn't interrupt the flow of my playing as opposed to pulling down on the neck, etc. And the Drop D option is very kewl. All my gigging electric guitars have Hipshots. I feel naked playing a guitar without one. Without it, I'm just another guitar player. I bought my bender back in the mid '90's. I instantly loved it. I had it on a Fernandes tele, an American ASAT, a G&L Tribute, and a cheap, hot rodded tele. I just can't get my tone without a Les Paul. I had actually tried it out on my LP Studio. Although it worked with the bridge and tail piece, it felt a little unstable on the arched top. I decided to try it on Les Paul Special with a flat Mahogany slab, and it works perfectly. A little Vaseline on the saddles keeps them from moving. I have my bender and my tone. The 3rd string palm lever is set to a half step bend which I use for slide licks. My Hipshot bender finally has a permanent home.

The Hipshot string bender is the best thing I found since my wife. I just have the top-mounted one (no routing) but it is excellent. I must wave bent the B a thousand times before the string broke. It was a 13. The one I got has a e-d lever on it and I was very surprised that it knocked nothing out of tune at all. Congratulations on a great product. I have it on a Mexi-Tele and I couldn't be happier with the product. It mounts to the strap button and I only had to drill 4 small holes. I'll give it an 11. Roger Lyness

If you always wanted to try a string bender, this is your best choice, hands down. It's extremely easy to install, play and if desired, remove from the guitar. The playing motion feels natural and is easy to learn - much more so than anything else I have tried. The bend is long and very musical, much like a pedal steel. I've been playing one for years and really love it. The price is right too. Try one. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Hipshot. Great product!

I received this for Christmas this past season and I don't know what I'd do without it. I love this, a must for any guitarist who wants to do all those little tricks without hurting their fingers.
