The "Vintage Guitar Tuner Upgrade Kit for 6 Inline Headstocks (8.5mm Post Hole)" fit perfectly on my Fender Road Worn strat. Dropped right in, no mods, perfect fit. Love them, very smooth, stays in tune. I wish they made them for my Les Paul!!

Got a Roasted Maple Neck for my Telecaster thinline and didn't want to risk drilling the pilot holes for the screws so this griplock system was a perfect choice. I wish they offered an open back 18:1 ratio gridlock set, but I hadn't seen it or missed it if they do. I'll definitely be getting more of these sets going forward.

Saved my Floyd Rose Speedloader from obsolescence
Tip, just use Fender Bullet Strings and the UMP with 8.5 Hipshot tuners
Thanks again

Was originally going to install grover tuners as the headstock I bought originally had them just to match the holes. Very happy I didn't, these are NIIIIIIICE and soooooo easy to install. Love that the tuners have 3 different lengths and fit perfectly. Will be replacing my other guitar tuners with HipShots, hold the tune rock solid. I have no issue with the screw holes being exposed, rarely notice or see them.
Like to thank Darrell Braun for bringing these to my attention. Cheers

As tuners go they look great and are probably just fine. I bought them for my new Fender Vintera 60's Jaguar hoping that the universal mounting plates would cover the screw holes from the vintage tuners that came with the guitar. I didn't completely install the tuners. I just laid down the UMP's and inserted the tuners to see if the original mounting screw holes got covered. Unfortunately they didn't. Even after sliding the top UMP up as far as it would go the screw hole for the original high E string vintage tuner still shows. I slid the other UMP as far down as it would go and it barely covered the screw hole for the original low E string tuner. By shifting the UMPS to their extremes left a gap (about 1/8") between them that exposed a screw hole shared by the vintage tuners for the D & G strings. If the UMPS were slightly longer the final install would look pristine but to install them with the current UMPS the installation would look sloppy and unprofessional. As much as I wanted to like these tuners they came up a "little short" of my expectations. I will try and return.

Great product! I have not found a hipshot product that I do not like. I think a little more detailed mounting instructions would help. It was easy on my '52 reissue telecaster but I did have to drill some holes. It wasn't difficult and it doesn't bother me. I'm just wondering if I did it right. Doesn't matter because in the end they work great and I'm happy with the result.

They hold tune forever and locking system works great and they look great easy to install and overall worth the money but they could drop the price a little

These tuners are great! With the mounting plate they dropped right into my cali series telecaster without any modification needed. Which is exactly what I wanted. It only took about 15 minutes to install them. They hold tune great and changing strings is a breeze! If you are in the market for some locking tuners you should definitely check them out!
