Worked out Perfect on my ESP Guitar

These are fantastic machines. They stay in tune, and the replacement oval knobs are super nice. I love them.

I know I ordered staggered tuners but I was very surprised how short they got. The shortest ones barely fit through my headstock I couldn’t use the mounting plates if I tried. Everything else is great

Order is correct, Everything works as intended. The universal installation plate ensures compatibility and keeps you from having to drill holes. I’ve only had it for a day so I can’t vouch for how well it’ll serve me over time, but I feel pretty confident in the assumption that it will last and continually outperform the stock tuners I replaced!

I told my wife that i could install these locking tuners in ten minutes. Forgot i had to install my TI strings too, so i had to buy her dinner out as including cleanup, took a little less than a half an hour. The instructions wer superb and installation was easy peezie. Would recommend them to anyone with a Tellie (remember, the Fender locking tuners only fit a big-buck American Tellie and my absolutely gorgeous set neck special-custom tellie is everything i could ask for except the tuners, but Hipshot fixed that. Thanks for a great product at a reasonable price.

Great item. I have an explorer so I had to run one of the mounting plates against a belt sander for a few seconds so they would fit. Would be nice to have a slightly shorter size to accommodate guitars that have tuning pegs a little closer together

I bought these tuners for my Schecter Hellraiser Avenger because the Grover tuners were old and I feared breaking a string while tuning, so I installed them, and the tuning stability is that much sweeter! Next, I'm installing a Hipshot Tone-A-Matic Bridge on my Avenger

Added a set of black tuners to my Godin Freeway Classic and they are great. Super easy to install and the guitar keeps its tuning for days. Going to buy a set of gold for my Dean Zelinski Tagliare. Love these tuners!

These were perfect, I got the closed back six inline locking tuners, non-staggered. They fit my Ibanez RG like a glove. So easy to install—no screws or pins—and the backing plate helps keep everything aligned. So far so good, they’re keeping everything in tune!

I bought these for a custom build I was going, and they are genuinely unbelievable. Replacing a set of Wilkinson EZ Lock tuners, these Hipshot locking tuners surpassed my expectations to such a high level. They basically never go out of tune. I play using a LOT of bends, even the dreaded minor third bend, and I literally haven't had to retune in the 2 weeks since they've been installed. Thanks to the universal mounting plate, installing the tuners was ridiculously easy as well. I honestly can't recommend them highly enough. It's also a plus that they look gorgeous as well.

Just installed these tuners today and they are a huge upgrade from the stock tuners on my Ibanez RGA42FM. After breaking in the strings and tuning up it holds tuning so well. If this is any proof that I should upgrade the tuners to my 7-string in the future to Hipshot there is no doubt in my mind that I will. Installation went so quickly and was a no brainer, took me about 10 minutes and I was ready to play, how awesome is that?! 10/10 would purchase again. Now i'm curious about the bridges!

Awesome tuners!! Got the upgrade kit for my LTD. Very easy to install, even for someone who hasn’t done it before. The tuners work very well, a nice high ratio so you can make small adjustments if needed. The plates (included in the kit) are thin and not even noticeable on the back of the headstock. They could be a bit wider to cover the screw holes from Grover machine heads, but that’s not a big deal. The gold open gears look great in contrast to the black machine heads. I’m very glad I purchased these, and if you’re considering them then don’t hesitate to pull the trigger.

Very good tuners. Didn’t really coverup all the holes from the previous tuners but I don’t care, no one is gonna see them but me, but over all these are the best tuners I came across. Definitely recommend these.

This is the second set I have installed. These are on a Tagima T505 Hand Made and it could not have been easier. They are the same headstock bore and with the UMP system they drop right it ! Tighten the nut string it, tune it and play. Love Hipshot products!

Thank you at Hipshot, I got the tuners today and in stalled them real quick. Now my Squire Bullet Strat sounds and responds as well as my Epiphone Les Paul Studio does. They are everything they say they are. They really blew me away, I expected better performance, what I got was simply amazing. Thanks again!

When I needed new tuners for my early 90s Ibanez RG470, I spent days researching tuners before landing on these. The install took less than 15 minutes . They turn like butter. Wish I would have installed them when I first got the RG. Now I just need to get sets for my other two guitars.

these are great, precision tuners - I just put a set on my Nashville Tele - just watch the install vid - they are easy to install. Makes changing strings a breeze - highly recommended!!

Liked the vintage set so much, I bought a set of the open back locking for my Warmoth Strat. Very stable and smooth. Another great Hipshot product.

Bought these to replace the worn out original tuners on my '64 Hagstrom H2. Tuning stability is greatly increased, and the UMPs meant I didn't have to drill into the vintage headstock. Great product.
