Best tuners I have used so far. Tuning stability is 1A, finish and feel are top notch. Different post heights available, finishes...what do I want more?

Some of the best locking tuners around. Great fit and awesome look.

Hipshot open gear grip-lock tuners are on all 13 of my guitars. They are imo are the best of the best! No joke.

Amazing tuners...

Please explain why you list Bass and Trebble when your ordering Tune Pegs for a guitar. I am not ordering for Bass Guitar. Very confusing.

Hipshot tuners are absolutely amazing. I wanted some upgrade tuners for my 8 string because the stock tuners dont like to keep the top 8th string in tune very well. I also like that they have the satin color option because they go extremely well with the paint job. I'm extremely happy with these tuners.

We have been using Hipshot tuners exclusively on all builds since 2012 on hundreds of guitars. They turn smoothly, don't break strings, stay in tune and are super lightweight.

Hey thanks again I will do the next thing

Best tuners I have ever used! These are on my Precision Guitar Kits LP style. Broke a string and had a new one on in a minute. Solid and accurate tuning along with excellent construction.

These tuning machines are the best! I exclusively use them on my builds, as they are the smoothest, lightest, and best looking tuners on the market. The variety of options for colors and buttons is a huge plus as well. The locking mechanism is also very easy and quick, unlike many other brands out there.
David F.
Hands down the finest tuners on the market. The high ratio makes precise tuning a breeze and they stay where you put them. Aristides Instruments (in my opinion the best guitars made) use these exclusively. Enough said!

Great product and it looks awesome and unique. Get compliments all the time. Great tuning stability. My only small little complaint is that my order came with 5 wood screws and 1 machine screw...i had to look for a spare black wood screw in my scrap pile to install the 6th tuner. Other than that i love hipshot products.

Hipshot's locking tuners are the de facto standard for my builds- the open gear variant paired with SK1 knobs is my personal favorite.
Pros:
Solid construction
Smooth, precise action
Fine tuning ratio
Variety of button choices
Cons:
None, don't be ridiculous

My Classic Vibe Tele is a real player, but had some tuning issues. Hipshot took care of that! Excellent customer service, custom built me a set at no extra charge! Thanks HipShot!

I've been using these on all my builds for the past few years now. High quality, lightweight. Lots of visual options with different buttons.

Frets4Vets uses only Hipshot tuners for the instruments we build for our veteran graduates. US vets deserve nothing less than the best US products to thank them for their service.

Great, solid tuners that are definitely worth upgrading to. Holds a ferm grip on your strings and never lets go. Also, that open brass gear just looks awesome.

So I'm that guy who is all thumbs when it comes to fixing things. I usually end up installing something upside-down, or backwards, then have to uninstall and keep trying until I stumble upon the correct installation. (If I haven't already ruined things in the process.)
But I got so tired of the low gear ratio on my 1996 Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 (with the Phase I "winged" tuners) that I decided to try my luck with the Hipshot Griplock Open back tuners with the 18:1 gear ratio and Universal Mounting Plates.
Tools needed: little tiny screwdriver for removing the old tuners. And a 10mm socket for removing the old ones and installing the Hipshot tuners. Cool. I can handle that.
I watched an installation video I'd found on YouTube. I read the directions. I poured a glass of wine. And I jumped in.
The instructions were so clear that I was unable to goof things up. Sure, initially I tried to put the plates on backwards, but after closer inspection of the instructions, I realized my error and positioned the tabs correctly. After 30 minutes, the new tuners were successfully installed, the guitar restrung, and I was jamming away.
I suspect that for anyone else it will probably take 10 minutes, tops. And if you've installed these before, probably 5 minutes. No drilling. No screw holes to mess with. It was just super easy and super effective.
An embarrassing moment: after I'd installed them correctly and couldn't figure out why the strings wouldn't go into the tuner holes-- You guessed it... the locking mechanisms were completely engaged, and taking up all of the space where the string was supposed to go. First I was puzzled... I got out an awl to see if I had to "open up" the hole. Then I got scared... was I going to have to return these "faulty" tuners?!! Finally, I realized my mistake and started laughing.
These tuners are the end-all, be-all for me. Suddenly, I've fallen in love with my Custom 24 all over again. Now she stays in tune and string changes are simple and quick. And these tuners cost WAAAY less than PRS brand replacement tuners.
I'm hooked.
Thanks, Hipshot!

Precision machines that are a pleasure to use. The only way the pitch will change is the strings stretching. I would use these on any instrument.
As good as everyone reports
I purchased a 3x3 set for my Gretsch Power Jet off of "you know where." The price was quite good, and the reviews raved about the quality, fit, and function.
Got the tuners, installed the tuners, tuned up with the tuners….these guys feel smooth, tight, medium light weight, and look excellent. They are less tall than the tuners they are replacing and that concerned me at first, but the function is PERFECTO!
Got to say that I'll be using these tuners again, and they are 20% less than the locking tuners I had been using for years.
I'm very, very pleased. thanks.

I just put a set of these on one of my Strats. They are the best tuning machines I've used in 40 years of playing. Silky smooth and accurate and they look beautiful too. Far superior to Sperzels!

I'm a Custom Builder from Argentina, working with Hipshot since 2010...and all the products are wonderful. I've tried all the competition tuners, and this little machines are the best, very smooth and precise, love them. And most important, all the Hipshot crew are great people. Thanks Guys! 100 stars

I've now replaced the tuners on 4 of my PRS SE guitars with these. WIth the universal mounting plate, I find these look great and stay in tune beautifully. It is also a reversible modification. These have replaced brand PW as my go to tuners. The fact that they are quality American made also makes me happy. I even like the stock buttons! after 40+ years of guitar playing, it's good to have found the best in something.

Realy Nice tuners. How about doing a version of guitar Xtenders on this design? That would be KILLER...

I produce premium custom guitars. And have tried every tuner on the market. These tuners are now standard on all my models. Each component on the tuners is perfect in finish. They are smooth and the gear ratio is perfect. They feel expensive before they even go on the guitar and as for size they are not too big and not too small but just right. The weight of these tuners is also great they are light but just heavy enough to ooze quality!

Received my first order of HIPSHOT Griplock Chrome 3 x 3 for a new build. These by far are superior to anything close in price range and above.

Not sure how you could give these anything but 5 stars - they are awesome. They're lighter than Fenders, and look really cool with the open body and brass gear. They function perfectly in every way - and have a very short post, eliminating the need for a string tree on a Fender neck. The triangular button is a bit eccentric, but you can order a variety of buttons from this website. I put pearl buttons on my Hagstrom ultra swede, improving the appearance 10x from the stock Hagstrom imperials, and making string changes very quick. I got chrome ovals for my strat neck from Warmoth. Very simple to install. The Bass Ultralights are equally brilliant.
