I use Hipshot bass extenders on all my 4 string basses. They install quickly without any modifications. They are very easy to adjust, and they stay in tune really well. I've purchased other hipshot products, all are of the highest quality and perfect fit.

Great product, Ive used Hipshot D tuners for years. I have them on all my basses, they're a must. Highly recommend if you require a lower note while playing live. I've avoided owning a 5 string bass because of the Hipshot

I have two of these. They are great. I use one in standard and another half step down (low C#). Makes the basses more versatile and does it well. They stay in tune consistently. I’ve got these on a Fender Player Series P Bass and Fender American Professional II. 11/10 would buy again. The only downside was the wait. Took a bit and a few setting and resetting expectations on ETA. Well worth the wait though. Also it’s a get out of jail free card if you forget to drop tune and the band is about to start the song.

I bought the BT12 for my American Jazz Ultra and the look and feel is second to none. The tuner matches my bass as if it was born that way. The ability to switch my bass to Drop D is the best invention besides the bass itself. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is due to how the tuning works. I have to tune my bass to a little bit flat of E (Not E flat), then I have to drop it to D and back to E in order for it to be in tune. It has to be a one shot thing because if you adjust it a little it goes flat. The other reason I can't give it 5 star is due to the time it took to even get the thing. The customer service was good and they let me know about the delays along the way but it still took a while.
