Easy install and replace of standard Fender bridge. Adjustable string spacing is great for customizing the right feel. Quick delivery. Solid product. Worth the money if looking to upgrade your primary instrument.

Best bridge ever.

The hardware is amazing and the customer service is second to none! Thanks a bunch Oscar!!!

Replaced the stock Washburn high-mass bridge and it fixed a few issues. First, I was able to remove the shim in the neck since I was able to better adjust the action lower. Second, it moved the weight further back and give the bass a little less neck dive (and issue with the MB4 bass); with the ultralight tuners, it really resolved the neck dive. Subjectively, I think it adds a bit more zing when playing more aggressively. Very happy.

The Hipshot KickAss bridge was an easy replacement for my MIM Jazz bass bridge. Nothing more than a few measurements and selecting the correct replacement. With KickAss bridge in hand, unscrew and remove old bridge, then line up new bridge and screw in bolts in existing holes and job done, you're ready to string your instrument. The new bridge comes with a wrench to make saddle height adjustments and allows for locking the saddle into place when finished. This is not my first Hipshot bridge, it is my first Kickass bridge and it does just that ;).

Pieced this Fender Squire Precision Mini Bass together from parts found around the internet. Came across a body, neck, and misc parts. My go to parts for all most all of bases are a Hipshot 5K400B Bridge along with Seymour Duncan PU's.
A great combination for a great sound.
Thanks,
Vince

I bought a 100 dollar Rogue fretless 4 string bass and turned it into a Hot Rod. LOL!
Sanded and used boiled linseed oil on the finger board, then Ernie Ball Flat wound strings, added
Seymore Duncan pickups, and finally, the bridge of all bridges.
The Hipshot Kickass Badass 5K400C Bridge.
This little project turns heads at the local jam sessions and sounds awsome too.
I've used this bridge on 3 of my bass guitars and will stick with Hipshot products for future builds as well.
Thanks guys

Took a 150 dollar fretless Rogue Series III bass and rebuilt it into 500 dollar sounding bass. Used a 5K400B Bridge along with Seymour Duncan PU's, Ernie Ball Flat wound strings. Then I sanded the fingerboard and stained it with Boiled Linseed Oil. Great sound now and fun to play.

Not the first time installing one of these bridges and probably not the last. Best bass bridge out there in my opinion! In this case, I installed on a 1979 Kramer DMZ4001B I just acquired. The original bridge was long gone and a previous owner install a generic bridge. But was not able to dial in the intonation with this bridge. So installed the Kickass. Not only does it look great, but I was able to dial in the intonation as well as string spacing. And adds a bit of extra punch as well!

Great service and the bridge looks awesome! Going onto a custom build. Looking forward to installing it soon.

This is my second kickass bass bridge if you look closely n the picture behind the the Jackson you’ll see the first one on the StingRay yhea yhea it’s not an ErnieBall style replacement surely tho it was an upgrade and sold me on a next one.. Tho if theses find gentlemen were to offer better than a stock style replacement.. hint hint highmass, ide prolly replace it and upgrade another bass with the kickass\m/

A terrific bridge that looks great and functions well.

The bridge was easy to install (just bolted on.) The difference in tone and sustain was very noticeable. This is an amazing product and It will be my go to bridge upgrade in the future. I was so impressed with the quality of the manufacturing that I looked to hipshot tuners when it was time to upgrade those.

Installed this bridge on my Jazz Bass Deluxe and never looked back. It's an. amazing upgrade that make my bass sing, and now it's easier to intonate the instrument. I'll be getting onother one for one of my short scale basses.

Love the flexibility. Hit a couple of snags installing onto a short scale Mustang--I really needed much shorter saddle screws and much taller inserts. Thankfully, the screws were pretty standard 6-32s I could easily swap out and even more thankfully, Hipshot gave us the ability to drop our own inserts in. Grabbed a hunk of copper and a couple hours later I was a happy camper. Now my bridge is also anti-microbial and the steamcore copper tone emphasizes the 400th order harmonics which the clockwork elves really groove to when I play the "Schism" intro over and over and over all day long.

Didn't think a bridge would effect the sound of an instrument so much. This bridge has been a godsend. Took me minutes to install and has taken my bass to the next level. Brass saddles give it a very nice mellow sound without taking away too much high end. The string spacing adjustment is great too.

Great bass bridge. High quality. Very easy to install and set up. No regrets.

The kick ass was a perfect drop in replacement for the stock bridge on my Washburn T-24. It took only minutes to install, and it was an instant improvement. Easy to intonate, although, it was a bit tight to get a screwdriver between the end of the string and the recess in the bridge, maybe allen head screws could be the answer. Love the adjustability, recessed screws, and the rounded corners. My old bridge had height adjustment screws that stuck up and always annoyed me.

I own a Fender CIJ Jaguar bass, it is a great instrument with tons of sound options but seem to lack end bottom. I retrofit the bridge and first I thought about the most popular option (badass), but noted string spacing was limited, so I installed a Hipshot.
The bass sounds great with this change, has more presence (Fundamentals) and cuts better thru live sound. I am seriously thinking on putting in all my basses.
David R.
Easy to install and it packs a lot of range setting up the saddle height and insert spacing. I would recommend this bridge to others.

Feels, sounds, and looks awesome on my Fender CIJ Precision!

I been building basses for 26 years and this bridge is just the best one I ever used, the tone the sustain , the price, and it gives you a lot of options, thanks Hipshot for this product it is fantastic

This is the best bridge I've ever run across! I've got one on each of my gigging basses, and will put one on every one I get.

I chose the Hipshot Kickass bridge for a few reasons. The adjustability of this bridge and the ability to use different types of saddle inserts are 2 of those reasons. This bridge is the right stuff. The tone is amazing. Yes, I did notice a major difference over the stock bridge. The saddles on the hipshot make it possible to center the strings over th pole pieces. A great feature of this bridge.
MICHAEL M.
This bridge is the true Kick Ass bridge, true sustain and very versatile. Stings can even be adjusted to spacing specs not to mention the saddle inserts..love it!!!
André M.
I just installed the Kickass bridge on my 74 'Jazz Bass.
The bass has completely changed, and for the better. I felt that the sound now is more dense, improved the sustain and the timbre got even better, considering it is a Fretless.
Highly recommend!

This 25 year old Squier Jazz has always played amazing and the KickAss was part of her recent upgrade. I had an aftermarket vintage saddled high mass on her before, and she was mellow and jazzy. With the kickass, you can really feel the strings kick back and rebound and snap for you. The coveted Jazz growl is there in spades and it has a sustain through the roof. I don't know which did more, the new pickups or the bridge, but I can really feel the impact of the bridge. One gripe, which is the closed screw hole in the saddle limited my intonation flexibility, and I had to cut one of the screws down to get room for perfect intonation.
Randy T.
Excellent quality as always. Great design. Ultimate in adjustability. Sustain for days, and at a great price!!
Chris S.
I replaced the standard bridge on my Squier modified 70s jazz bass, with a kickass. The tone and sustain are awesome. I will be buying another for my Fender p bass.

I was never happy with my MIJ Fender Jaguar bass. After adding a Hipshot Supertone to my Gibson Thunderbird, I wondered if a bridge upgrade would 'fix' my Jaguar. The improvement was huge and undeniable: My bass felt much more 'solid' to play, with beautiful sustain and a darker, more natural tone, and full-bodied sound. Also, it just looked way cooler. Highly recommended!

I bought the black version of this bridge to replace the Badass II on my Geddy Lee Fender Jazz bass. I was not disappointed in how easy this bridge was to setup and fine tune! I love the deeper heel that hides the string nuts and also adds a little more substance. Every corner on every piece of this bridge was rounded off, which I didn't even realize was a complaint about my Badass II until I installed this one. It was such a little detail, and it made this bridge so much more comfortable. I love this bridge, and have been recommending it to all my bass player friends. I have a couple other guitars, I'll probably get them each their own KickAss setup.
My only complaint is that the mounting screws didn't come in black, just to sharpen up the look of this great black and brass bridge. It's a pretty minor complaint, there's really nothing wrong with the screws that were provided, and I can pick up some black ones myself.
Philippe D.
I use them on my bass guitars! Hipshot products ROCK!!!!!!!
