Allows for more fine tuning compared to the original Fender pegs, and smoother action

I was never happy with the tuning machines on my Epiphone JC-1 bass. Sloppy, erratic, crummy feeling machines on an otherwise fine instrument. The Hipshot HB7s fit, look stock and are a world apart. To describe them as "buttery smooth" is an understatement. Now when I pick up the bass it's still in tune from the previous night. I used to think the slipped tuning was an issue with the wood, but these machines cured that as well.
Highly recommended.

These are great! Super good tuning stability and everything. They didn’t perfectly drop into my player pbass. Seems to be a fender thing not a hip shot thing

HB7 Tuners fit on my 2004 IC Squire Jazz Bass perfectly.
Excellent adjust-ability and keep strings perfectly tuned.
Very happy and very much recommended.

I added these to my 2021 Mexican Player series P Bass. I ordered them through a 3rd party supplier. Unfortunately the bushings were the wrong size. I emailed Hipshot and Bill got in touch the same day. He shipped (for Free, I didn't ask he just did it) the correct bigger sized bushings. They look great on my bass. All my guitars and basses have Hipshot tuners and after this super positive experience every future bass will have them as well. Cheers

Just got HB7 Lollipops for my Squier VM Jazz V neck. Great stuff and ultra-fine tuning capabilities!!!

Installed the A Style Fender Bridge and a set of HB7 Tuning Machines in black on my Fender Player Series Precision bass. I love the look of the black hardware on the white body and maple neck. The bridge fit with no problems at all. I had a problem with the tuners on the install. I needed the oversized bushings instead of standard and thanks to the great customer service, I had the tuners installed a few days later. I will definitely look at Hipshotproducts if I need to upgrade any guitar or bass in the future.

I just installed the HB7s on my Squire J-Bass. Love them. These were a direct fit no problems.
I love this bass and while putting these beauties on this thing may seem like lipstick on a pig, but it's my pig. These things are outstanding. Tuning is so much simpler now.
The ratio on these make the tuning process much cleaner. These are great replacements.
Thanks, Eric.

I love hipshot tuners . They put the stock tuners to shame. When I start a new project I always check out Hipshot products because The quality goes in first

Such a fantastic product!!! My guitar tech just dropped these bad boys in; a simple, and direct conversion to my MIM Fender Jazz. No modification was necessary. NOW, my bass stays PERFECTLY in tune. When coupled with a Hipshot string retainer, proper string tension is truly maintained. The resulting tone is phenomenal! This makes it possible for me to focus on what's REALLY important: the music. Thanks, Hipshot!

I just installed these tuners on my MIM Precision bass, and they're fabulous. They look great, and they're a big improvement over the stock ones. This bass also sports a new Hipshot high-mass bridge. I really like this company, their products are great and the service is top notch. Rock on!

I purchased a set of these and installed them on my Japanese Fender 62 reissue P Bass. These little babies made a world of difference! The stock tuning keys are very touchy and quickly go from “perfectly in tune” to “way out” with just a fraction of a turn. The HB7’s are a huge improvement. Now my bass tunes like a high end bass. Plus the tension screw is great. I can adjust it so that they’re not so easy to turn. Try that with a stock tuner! I was not sure which tuners would fit my bass, so I emailed Jason and he was very helpful. He suggested the HB7’s but said I would likely have to re-drill a few holes. To my surprise, 3 of the 4 holes lined up, so I only had to drill 1 hole per tuner. These tuners, along with a few other mods, made my ol’ 62 RI into my “go to” bass. I’d recommend them to anyone.
