I used this on a standard RG7421 that had a flat plate bridge. I had to fill the previous holes and drill new ones to convert it over to the Gibraltar style mounting scheme, but it was well worth it. It's a chunky, solid mass of brass with perfectly machined and smooth surfaces, it's very comfortable. This with the addition of a new nut completely changed the way my guitar feels and sounds.

The bridge is almost perfect except the B string doesn’t go through the saddle. The string ends up behind the saddle. I learned to live with it but for $190 it should be 100% perfect other wise don’t charge $190 for it….

Fantastic bridge! Great for achieving Really low tunings with good intonation. Did a whole video installing this bridge and tuning really low with a 25.5 inch scale 7 string Jackson Dinky guitar. Come check it out! https://youtu.be/8YgQ7_ikSZs

Perfect replacement for my RGIX7FDLB.
Easy installation and feels fantastic.

Love this bridge! Used it on this 7 string that I built for a friend, chemically aged the nickel plating to get the look that he wanted. The offsets for the B&E string-thru holes as well as the fact that it is ambidextrous are the kind of details that I love about Hipshot bridges.

So, this is the fourth Ibby HM bridge I replace from the original one (Gibraltar 2). I don't understand how people can play with the original bridge. Once you've tried this Hipshot bridge, it's impossible to go back.

This bridge is much better than the stock Gibraltar II. It is easy to install and setup, adds snap and sustain and looks much better. I plan to install another on my second RGD7. Definitely recommended!

I don't understand, why these bridges are not standard equipment for Iby.

No words. You can only try this incredible Bridge. The guitar's sound is absolutely amazing and the tuning is incredible. Love Hipshot's Bridge and Tuning machine also!

There is no way this could sound any better, the real upgrade for your guitar tone.. simply what any guitarist would want

With the ibby hm 7, the tone has improved quite significantly, now its easy to feel and listen to the sustain in the guitar, clarity also is something to note, great upgrade for your beloved ibanez, I'm definitely getting another of this bridges for my other ibanez guitars

Dropped the ibby replacement in a couple RG rebuilds including this one that got a burled walnut treatment and griplock open gears among many other upgrades. The feel and tone improvements these bridges provide is significant. If you are in to modding RG's or turning them in to full blown projects like this one, HipShot hardware is an absolute no-brainer.

This bridge is currently installed on my first generation Iron Label RGIR27FE. After installing, I noticed an improvement in overall clarity, as well as an increase in palm muting attack(Especially on the 7th string). I've often felt that this guitar's tone was a bit too muddy for my tastes, and the (ultra) high profile stock bridge a bit too uncomfortable and cumbersome. This replacement bridge fixes all of that. I have also found it to be an aesthetic improvement. It's sleek design and matte black finish serve as a much better compliment than the easily tarnished, pewter colored bulk that came stock(Which I now use as a paperweight).
